AUBREEVISION - Observations from the far side of the dial

Was fast asleep last night when an overhead shelf let go and launched this unfortunately hefty figurine squarely at my temple:



It hurt so much I worried I had a concussion which would result in a rapidly progressing and ultimately fatal swelling of my brain. What was even more annoying than the assault from above, however, was the fact that the shelf had let go just days before, and I remember consciously thinking "Maybe I should move that heavy figurine somewhere else in case it plummets onto my head in the middle of the night. Nahhh...what are the chances it would fall when I'm sleeping, and directly on my head to boot?"
